I try my best with english words,
To make them sing like colourful birds.
But they don't come that easily,
So tricky to leave properly.

Before reaching this place ages ago,
It was difficult to please my ego.
After years of travels around the world,
Keep serching in vain a nice afterword.

People said : try Wayalailai,
Where the first glimpse will make you cry.
Surreal beauty, rock on a trend,
My quest has maybe found an end.

If you can be a friend with a shark,
Or make the jungle your own park,
The real treasures are interiors,
The big hearts of gentle warriors.

For sure they are no comedian,
Even if you don't speak fijian.
Right here you'll find a family,
Or just a hammock, lazily.

After two months, time for leaving,
Not yet gone, already crying.
But no matter what will happen,
Forever in my heart, this eco haven.

Isa lei.

Isa lei! So nice that they let you sit in front but no wonder since you have spent more time in Wayalailai than few other outsiders. My goodbye after a week was already emotional, I can only imagine how it was for you 🙂

Hi, I hope you remember us from Wayalailai, even if we have spend only three days there with you 🙂
A little late, but I just saw your poem about this beautiful island. It makes us so melancholic and thankful for the time we had there. It was a pleasure to meet you and it really inspired us talking and listening to you and your experiences. We keep you in mind as one of the persons who inspired us most during our small (in compare to tours) world trip. All the best and safe travels to you for the future and best regards from Laos (one of your recommendations 🙂 )

Hi Laura & Lukas, it’s really nice to read you, of course I remember ! I hope you enjoy Laos, especially if you’ve been there because of me ! 🙂 Now I can also recommand Sri Lanka, where I am since one month. But for sure Wayalailai will be forever in my heart ! Actually, maybe I will go back in a few months if my book is still in progress ! 😉 All the best, see you another time somewhere in the world.
